Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Net-Prom, Boris Krajnc s.p., Videm pri Ptuju 27, 2284 Videm pri Ptuju, Slovenia, Slovenia ("we", "us"), the data controller, collects when you buy or use SubSync AI ("the App"), and your rights over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What we collect

Purchase information: your email address and country (for VAT purposes), collected and processed by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, Inc., at checkout.
License data: your license key and a device identifier (your computer's hostname), used only to enforce the one-device activation limit of your subscription.
Basic technical logs: the App's local log files stay on your own computer and are not automatically sent to us; you may choose to share them with us yourself for support purposes.

We do not collect or store the subtitle text you translate, your watch history, or the content of your AI provider responses. Translation requests go from your own computer directly to the AI provider you configured, using your own API key - we never see that traffic.

2. Why we process this data

To provide the subscription and enforce its license terms (performance of a contract).
To send purchase receipts and respond to support requests (contract / legitimate interest).
To comply with tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

3. Who else processes your data

Payments and related customer data are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Inc., acting as merchant of record; see their own privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. If you connect a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Google, or a custom endpoint) inside the App, your subtitle text is sent directly from your device to that provider under your own account - their privacy policy governs that processing, not ours.

4. How long we keep it

We keep license and purchase-related data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with accounting and tax retention requirements under Slovenian law.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@subsyncai.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si) or your own country's supervisory authority.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies. Cookies strictly necessary for the site or checkout to function may be set by our hosting provider or Lemon Squeezy during checkout.

Analytics (optional, only with your consent). If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how the website is used: pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and clicks on the download and purchase buttons. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) with a random identifier. We switch off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not use the data for advertising. Event data is kept for 14 months. Google may process the data in the EU and in the United States (under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

If you click “Reject”, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent removes the analytics cookies. The SubSync AI app itself does not contain any analytics.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
